Your responsibilities would include:

  • acting decisively and engaging effectively with key stakeholders
  • partnering effectively with external customers and internal supply chain organization, customer service and supply planning organization with focus on increased value and benefit realization
  • primary day-to-day contact with carriers, specifically around issues and exception management
  • communicating with customer sites about changes in deliveries (two-ways)
  • assisting the OpCo customer services with special requests for time definite deliveries and/or shipment-based transport selections
  • daily execution of transportation planning activities including load consolidation, mode shift, and optimization of transportation routes
  • managing any unrouteable issue during the optimization process within the timelines expected
  • managing booking and execution of transportation loads
  • monitoring status updates from carriers (in-transit, appointment, delivered etc.) and proactively communicating and resolves transportation exceptions
  • continuously seeking out opportunities to improve current processes
  • proactive advising about improvements on transport planning scope, i.e. exclusion of lanes, simulation of new scenarios.


You are a good candidate if you have:

  • Bachelor Degree or equivalent, preferably in Management, Business, Logistics, or related field
  • good understanding/experience with OTM (Oracle Transportation Management tool)
  • understanding of transportation rules, regulations, standard processes and business policies
  • ability to develop and manage client and carrier relationships
  • strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • ability to manage and meet deadlines and multi-task daily activities
  • professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • excellent written and verbal English
